Busy A Shift...Saturday proved to be another busy shift for the A. Other than the normal
Med calls two fires were also attended between 6 & 7.
3:30 PM- Engine 7 sat down for some lunch @ the
Coach & Four when the staff Brought to the crews attention that the Hot Dog trailer out in front of the restaurant was
on fire. Upon forcing the door E-7 encountered a small fire inside the trailer which was quickly knocked down. They mopped
up and went back inside to finish their delicious steak!
7:30 PM- A structure call went out in OCW E-2
District of reported building fire. While OCW E-1, R-1, Eglin Engine responded smoke & flames were confirmed
by S.O. in a townhouse complex and E-6 was attached as Rapid Intervention. E-2 arrived on scene & reported "heavy
fire from the second floor, through the front of the roof, pulling the deuce and a half", C-1 then sounded a second
alarm which brought E-7 and various other Companies in on the assignment. E-2 made quick work of the second floor while
E-6 vented/inspected the roof. E-7 was tasked to force the left side of the T.H., check the attic, and hit various hot
spots with the 2.5. Kudos in order for E-2 on a good stop.
