Downtime pizza
Attn all firefighters!

web2.jpg

Local firefighter Danny Fureigh has recently purchased the old “New York Pizza” on Mary Esther C/O. The new name for the place is Downtime Pizza & Subs. The theme is obviously relating to the fire service, owned operated by firefighters. He is currently looking for memorabilia to hang inside. If you are willing, he would like firefighting equipment from all over to diplay. The property would remain your possesion just hung on the walls of Dowtime!

So put the word out and contact Danny at dfureigh@fwb.org or call him @ 830-7197

Grand opening to be March 11th!

Thanks for all the help, & check back later for more details

MVA Car vs Building

MVA/020108001web.jpg

Early this morning the alarm sounded for a MVA/fire. Upon arrival, of MEFD E-11 encountered significant fire in the rear of the home in a shed type structure just feet from the home. Upon further investigation apparently a car ran off the end of Ready Ave. and crashed through a fence and into a workshop. E-11 put a quick knock on the fire, while T-6, E-3 assisted with overhaul.

"Sticker club"

Please remove all IAFF markings from your vehicle when selling, trading-in, etc. The IAFF logo is universally known and respected and identifies both them and their family members as part of an elite profession and connected to Organized Labor.

IAFF decals and emblems should not be given or sold to any individuals or non-family members who are not IAFF members. What you perceive to be a friendly gesture may be viewed by a police officer as illegal. Police in some states have interpreted the displaying of an IAFF or fire department logo by individuals who are not firefighters or the immediate family member of a firefighter as impersonating a firefighter, which is illegal in most states.

DO THE RIGHT THING.  REMOVE IAFF DECALS WHEN DISPOSING OF A MOTOR VEHICLE IN ANY WAY.
